This is a great starter 9.6v NiMH battery, much better than most starter batteries which are usually 8.4v (we don't even carry the 8.4v and sub-par.)
The wall charger is a basic trickle charger with no bells or whistles, simply a good choice to save you money before you decide whether you will choose LiPO or NiMH in the future.
